This year sees Womadelaide change from its 3 day format to a 4 day format with the extra days entertainment slotted in for the Monday Public holiday in South Australia. In Previous years this has been a day of rest and recuperation but not so this year.
Like all Womadelaides I’ve been to which is up to a count of 7 or is it 8, there are always performers you know of and then there are the unknowns that you havent heard of until now but at this time of the year start doing some research as to how to spend your WOMAD time. The full lineup for each day is now out and can be seen on The Womadelaide website. Ojos De Brujo from Spain are one of the acts that I have been listening to now for a number of years and it will be great to see them in the flesh.
If you want a taste of Womad check out the Highlight Gallery from Womadelaide 2009
Hoping I can get Media Accreditation for Photography again this year and able to bring you some memorable moments from one of the great music festivals
March is upon us now with Womadelaide starting in 5 days time. Hope you are all getting excited
