The 2018 Adelaide Zombie walk was held in Rundle Park Adelaide on Saturday October 13th. No photos from me at all this year just video footage which I have edited and squeezed into a short video.  Apologies to those zombies that got cut in the edit. There are a LOT of you and If I put you all in it would be over and hour long.

Enjoy the Adelaide Zombie invasion taking to the parklands and streets

Every year the people of Adelaide embrace their inner Zombie – unless they are already at that stage through natural causes and take to the streets of Adelaide for the Annual Zombie walk. The Event is open to the public and is free but participants are encouraged to buy a wristband which allows them entry to the best dressed Zombie competition and other perks such as entry to clubs after the walk, cheaper drinks and lots more including getting squirted with fake blood in the splatter tent pre walk. Proceeds from these donations go to Foodbank

Here is the video of the 2017 AZW with the prewalk footage, the walk itself and a bit of the after party/ DJ

After some marathon edit sessions I present Zombie walk 2014 video. I tried to cram as many of the 13000 walkers in as I could so some bits had to be massively sped up.

The afterparty for the Adelaide Zombie walk was held at Fowlers Live venue on North Terrace. I only caught the end of the set by the first band Stomp the dog, but I managed to catch the full set of Adelaide band “The Killgirls”. Took out the fisheye lens and took some video from the front of the stage as well as some video with a “normal 24-70mm lens during their performance. Subsequent I requested permission from the band to piece together a “video style” clip from their performance as well as some footage of Zombies at the after party and here it is

Well the Adelaide Zombie walk has been and gone. Its one event Ive been Photographing since 2008 so it’s my 5th outing but this time I took a fair bit of video with my DSLR as well as still photography. I was also fortunate enough to be invited to the “Official” Photographers group.

You would be surprised  how much preperation goes into photographing the event and even more suprised by the amount of time spent after the walk has finished. For those that aren’t real Zombies you just remove your Zombie outfits, wipe off the makeup and you move on. For people taking photos and even more so for those taking videos, there are many days, weeks ahead going through footage and video and getting it all together.

So first up are the Photos which I managed to get online within about 24 hrs of the walk > Link HERE for the full gallery

Dont forget that unwatermarked digital  images facebook size or suitable for small 4×6 prints are available for the low price of $12 with 20% proceeds going to Foodbank. Larger sized prints are available at varying prices
